Welcome!
My name is Ashley Cooper and I have recently opened a violin and piano lesson studio in the South Austin area. My studio is very close to the Circle C Ranch & Shady Hollow communities. I am a passionate teacher and have many years of experience working with students of all ages and ability levels. With great care I train my students to develop the tools they need to meet their goals. Through patience, encouragement, and mutual respect we create a space that makes learning possible.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to study with some of the best musicians in the country while completing my Master of Music degree at Rice University and my Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Michigan. I feel honored to pass on this great knowledge to my pupils. My desire is to excite a curiosity and enjoyment of Classical music in everyone I teach. While living in Houston, I was on faculty at the St. Luke's UMC Bridges Fine Arts Academy, International Music Academy, and Rice University Preparatory Program Young Children's Division.
Weekly lessons take place at my home studio (Sugar Hill Dr Austin, TX 78748) Monday-Friday. A map can be found under the "Location" tab and more information about me can be found in the pages under the "Main" tab.
